The UV chamber features a "turbulator" to increase efficiency. The 16w UVC clumps the algae that causes green water together. The water then passes through a venturi for additional aeration. Water then flows through the bio-media, and rises up through the foams. Waste in the bottom chamber can be drained away via the sludge drain.
