These placemats have a firm & substantial feel! There has been a lot of attention to detail to make them unique & sturdy. There is a layer of batting between the leaf print layers. They also have a layer of batting between the gold or turquoise centres. These centre areas are also machine quilted. This also means that there are actually 6 layers between a hot item & your table in the centre areas. This would be a real asset when using warmed plates or using a placemat to protect your table top from a hot baking dish. The gold centred ones have variegated stitching all around the centre area. The turquoise centred ones have solid colour stitching. All of them are also topstitched around the scalloped edges. All this stitching & quilting ensures that everything will stay in place for years to come. They measure approximately 17 (43 cm) long & 13 ( 33cm) wide. The colours in the print fabric blues, turquoise & a mustard colour of yellow as well as small bits of brown & black. These placemats would definitely be serviceable for most of the year. There is a total of 4 gold centred placemats & 4 turquoise centred placemats. THEY ARE PRICED PER SET OF 4. Each set coordinates with the other so if you would like 8 placemats simply purchase both sets. I have listed a photo showing them combined on the table. I Would recommend washing in cool water & hanging or laying flat to dry to preserve the rich & vibrant colours. Exchanges are gladly accepted. The item you see in the photos is the exact item you will receive. I have paid particular attention to fabric contents & listed them carefully. I try to photograph items so that details are apparent. Some colours such as teal greens or teal blues do not photograph in true colours. They tend to appear bluer than they actually are. I will specify that in the descriptions. Some metallics do not photograph well either & I have indicated that when it does. If you have carefully viewed the photo(s) & read the item description there should be no surprises. For this reason, I do not offer refunds. However, in the unlikely event that there is a problem with your item, I would be happy to either fix the problem or offer an exchange for another item of equal value in my Etsy shop. in the unlikely event that your item requires repair, I will reimburse you for the shipping charges to return the item. You will not be charged when the item is shipped back to you. Should you choose to exchange an item you will be responsible for shipping the item you are returning as well as the shipping charges for the new item you choose.
