A lovely set of 6 porcelain cups with coasters. They can be used for serving tea as well as coffee, they are also a beautiful decorative object for your glass showcase. The company EPIAG was founded in 1804/1805 under the name Steingutfabrik Dallwitz in the village of Dallwitz (Dalovice) by Johann von Schnau. in Dallwitz, stoneware, table & coffee utensils with decor & in white were produced in excellent quality. As early as 1827, the factory was already employing 65 people. After an eventful history, the factory was converted into a stock corporation (PIAG - sterreichische Porzellan-Industrie A.G., 1918-1920). Two years later it was converted into EPIAG, First (Bohemian) Porcelain Industry A.G., Dallwitz plant. The level of awareness & the professionalism of EPIAG can also be seen in the fact that the famous poet & naturalist Johann Wolfgang von Goethe had visited the factory several times since 1806 to carry out experiments there & also to buy crockery for himself. The condition of the cups & saucers is flawless. No damage or wear. The price applies to all 6 cups with saucers.
