This manual tile cutter from Vitrex is capable of cutting tiles up to 600mm wide, either wall or floor tiles. It will cut ceramic porcelain, terracotta and quarry tiles. The Vitrex 102371 simplifies the job of cutting tiles and minimises wastage. The large capacity enables you to make a full diagonal cut in tiles up to 425mm square. The tile cutter is equipped with a long lasting 14mm titanium coated cutting wheel. The VIT 10 2371 features twin chrome plated heavy duty rails ensuring smooth scoring. It uses a simple score and snap operation for tiles up to 12mm thick. Score from edge to edge in one firm movement, always score by pushing the cutter towards the fence. To break the tile press down on the handle, making sure the tile is still centred over the ridge of the base. Press the V bar down either side of the score line. Note: If you need to cut a thin sliver then the only way is to use a motorised diamond wet tile cutter. When cutting large tiles add some support to keep the tile level.
