So, if you’re one of those riders who takes no prisoners no matter what or where you ride, you might just have found your dream snowboard.Rider Style experienced to expert riders looking for a versatile, high-performance freestyle inspired all terrain board that will let them push their riding to the absolute limit.Shape OverviewBuilt around an all-new true twin platform the Mods freestyle roots are plain to see. However, don’t be fooled into thinking that this is a pure park freestyle board. Thanks to its innovative design, the Mod is equally happy charging around the mountain in all types of terrain and all types of conditions. Now to ensure that Mod feels lively under the feet, Rome utilises a compact sidecut. This gives the board lightning fast reaction under the feet, giving you the ability to change direction in the blink of an eye.ProfileNow as the Mod is all about performance, Rome fit it with their Stay Positive traditional camber. This poppy and responsive profile delivers increased power through the turn and improved high-speed stability with faster and more dynamic turn initiation and exit.InternalsAs you would expect for such a high-performance board, the Mod doesn’t cut corners when it comes to construction. Heading up its high-quality build is the powerful Air Pop core. This combines traditional poplar with five stringers of ultra-light low-density wood to create a featherlight feel. To drop weight even further, channels are milled into the core in none stressed areas removing excess material. Rome then adds its unique Carbon Reverse Radial V Turbo Rod technology. Although a bit of a mouthful to say, this stunning technology inserts carbon tubes into milled out channels which radiate out from either side of the bindings and into the centre of the nose and tail. Inside these tubes are inserted floating solid carbon rods which are anchored underneath the bindings. These transfer the rider’s energy out to the tips of the board delivering unbelievable levels of pop without sacrificing freestyle torsional flex. The Mods structural layers are formed from the freestyle specific Superlight Biax Carbon laminate. These provide a slightly softer torsional flex, but the addition of carbon fibres ensure that that softness doesn’t compromise out and out performance.BaseAs the Mod is all about high performance, Rome fit it with their Sintered Carbon base. This high-end sintered base features a carbon additive that reduces friction to give you knuckle-clearing speed.Additional informationLengthWaist WidthSidecutTapereffective edgeTip LengthTail LengthMin StanceMax StanceSetbackWeight Range15625.4cm8.02m0cm122cm20cm20cm49.5cm61.5cm0cm125-185lbs / 57-84kg15925.6cm8.13m0cm125cm20cm20cm52cm64cm0cm135-200lbs / 61-91kg
